Stephen Sheng  NCARB, AIA, LEED AP

REDUX NY BOARD MEMBER

Mr. Sheng is the co-founder of REDUX NY. Through mid-2016, he served as the Mix StudioWorks’ leading Design Principal and Hong Kong Director. He opened the firm’s Hong Kong office in 2009 and led the design process while liaising directly with clients and project teams in Asia. With his past experience as Vice President and Design Principal at the Jerde Partnership, Stephen focused on urban mixed-use projects from concept through construction. Built projects he worked on included the widely-published Roppongi Hills in Tokyo and the award winning Dubai Festival City Waterfront Centre. Other project experience includes the Beijing Hotel Wangfujing Retail Corner, The Shops at the Shanghai World Financial Center,  the Banyan Tree Hotel on the Bund in Shanghai, the Arcade at Cyberport in Hong Kong and the Jing’An mixed-use development under construction for the heart of Shanghai. Stephen received his Master of Architecture degree with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. Stephen has served on numerous academic juries in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

REDUX NY BOARD MEMBER

Ms. Lesser is the co-founder of REDUX NY. She worked for HLW, one of the top commercial architecture offices in the US, on projects such as the IMAX headquarters in Los Angeles before she became a Partner at NLStudio completing a range of commercial and residential projects for seven years. Once in Hong Kong, she joined the commercial firm Atelier Pacific working on luxury brand retail projects for Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana and Hermes. Nina graduated with honors from Barnard College, Columbia University and lived in New York for five years before moving to Los Angeles where she graduated with a Masters Degree in Architecture with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles. Nina has also taught architecture extensively in several Universities including USC, Sci-Arc, UCLA, Woodbury and Otis College of Art and Design. Her design works have been published in architectural magazines and she has been exhibited and garnered awards from industry institutions such as the American Institute of Architects. She recently won an honorable mention in the West Kowloon Cultural District M+ gallery competition.
